Our Team

Senior Practitioners. Not Generalists.

Every Helix Bridge engagement is run by people who have held the roles our clients hold — and navigated the markets our clients are entering.

We built Helix Bridge on a conviction that the best consulting comes from people who have actually done the work. Not advisors who studied it. Not analysts who modelled it. Practitioners who have led commercial teams, managed launch P&Ls, negotiated with regulators, and built distribution networks in African markets — often in difficult conditions, with limited resources and high expectations.

That practitioner mindset is not just our background. It is our operating principle.

Khalil Allouche has spent more than two decades at the intersection of science and commerce in the African and Middle Eastern pharmaceutical industry. His career has spanned the full commercial spectrum — from brand strategy and sales force effectiveness to market access, regulatory affairs, and P&L ownership across some of the most complex and dynamic markets on the continent.

Before founding Helix Bridge, Khalil held senior commercial and general management roles with leading multinational pharmaceutical companies operating across the MEA region, including positions that carried responsibility for multi-country portfolios, franchise leadership, and full commercial model design. He has launched products across therapeutic areas ranging from oncology and immunology to cardiovascular and infectious disease, always in markets where the gap between global strategy and local execution is significant — and where bridging that gap determines whether a launch succeeds or fails.

What distinguishes Khalil's approach is the insistence on working at the intersection of rigour and practicality. He brings the strategic frameworks of a seasoned commercial leader and the market intuition of someone who has spent years on the ground, in conversations with distributors, health authorities, medical communities, and patient organisations across Africa and the Middle East. He understands that what works in one market often fails in the next — and that the consulting value lies precisely in knowing the difference.

Khalil founded Helix Bridge Life Sciences to make senior-level, Africa-native consulting genuinely accessible to the organisations that need it most: the emerging biotechs considering their first African launch, the mid-size pharma companies redesigning their commercial model, the multinationals trying to close the gap between global ambition and local performance. His personal mission is to raise the standard of commercial practice across the region, and to demonstrate that patient access and business performance are not competing priorities — they are the same goal, pursued intelligently.

Our Extended Expert Network

Helix Bridge operates with a curated network of senior specialists — regulatory experts, medical affairs leaders, market access professionals, distribution strategists, and commercial excellence practitioners — drawn from across the MEA region.

This model allows us to assemble exactly the expertise each engagement requires, without the overhead of a large internal team. Every specialist in our network is selected on the same criteria as our core team: genuine senior experience, regional depth, and the ability to work as a trusted partner rather than a supplier.

Why Clients Choose Helix Bridge

You work with the senior person throughout

From the first conversation to the final deliverable, you are dealing with the person who has the experience to make the right call. We do not use your engagement to train junior staff. Senior insight at every touchpoint — that is the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.

We have done what we are advising you to do

Our recommendations are grounded in market experience — not slide templates. We have managed the commercial conversations, built the distribution models, and navigated the regulatory landscapes we advise on. When we say something will or will not work in a given market, we know why. That is not something you can replicate with analytical frameworks alone.

We tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear

Our model is built on long-term partnership, which means we protect your interests even when that means pushing back on your assumptions. If the market entry strategy has a structural flaw, we say so early. If the commercial model is underresourced for the ambition, we quantify the gap clearly. Intellectual honesty is the basis of the trust our clients place in us.

We bring Africa expertise that is genuinely hard to find

The depth of our knowledge across African pharma markets is not something you find in most consulting firms. We know the markets, the stakeholders, the regulatory nuances, the distribution dynamics, and the competitive landscape — not as case studies, but as living experience. That depth is the reason clients return to us for their next challenge.

We are flexible by design

We work in the format that serves your business best — project-based engagements, retained advisory, embedded support, or interim leadership. Our structure does not impose a billing model on your challenge. We scope engagements around outcomes, not around maintaining team utilisation.

We build capability, not dependency

Our aim is to leave your team stronger than we found it. Whether through knowledge transfer, coaching, co-creation of tools and frameworks, or simply by modelling a higher standard of analytical rigour, we want our clients to internalise what they learn from working with us. A client who has outgrown the need for external support is a successful engagement — and the highest compliment we can receive.
